Apex Muay Thai Promotions Recap

Last weekend, Saturday 11th October, the Pretty Top Team crew represented Cairns Muay Thai proudly at Apex Muay Thai Promotions in Mackay. Two of our amateur fighters, Taine and Che, stepped into the ring for exhibition bouts, gaining crucial experience and showing off their technical skills in front of a lively crowd.

Muay Khao Style on Display

Both Taine and Che delivered impressive performances, showcasing a strong Muay Khao style and landing some devastating knees throughout their rounds. While the event was exhibition-only with no declared winners, the focus was all about ring experience, composure, and development—and both fighters achieved exactly that.

Strong Representation from Pretty Top Team

Coach Myles and Trainer Alex made the journey from Cairns to Mackay to corner the athletes and provide tactical support between rounds. Their guidance was key to helping Taine and Che perform at their best and represent Pretty Top Team’s Muay Thai program with pride.

We were also proud to see Dylan Small, Head Referee and Judge for the Combat Sports Association, working on the official team for the event. Having representation both in the ring and on the officials’ panel is something we’re extremely proud of—it shows how deeply our team is involved in the growth of Muay Thai in Cairns and across North Queensland.

Building Experience for Cairns Muay Thai Athletes

The Pretty Top Team Muay Thai crew is back in the gym this week, fine-tuning their technique and building on what they learned in Mackay. With several big events still to come before the end of the year, our fighters are focused, hungry, and ready to keep levelling up.
