Last week, from Tuesday 15th July to Saturday 19th July 2025, Pretty Top Team headed down to Brisbane to compete in the Golden Gloves International Tournament, hosted by Boxing Queensland.

This prestigious event brought together boxers from across Australia and beyond to test their skills, resilience, and determination in one of the biggest amateur boxing tournaments on the calendar.

Our team showed great heart throughout the week, with a mixture of hard-fought battles, valuable lessons, and a fantastic result for the team to bring home.

🥊 Fight Results:

Amosa (16 Years Old)

Amosa was first up for Pretty Top Team. Unfortunately, he didn’t come away with the win in his Golden Gloves Final bout. However, showing true resilience, Amosa picked up a challenge bout later in the week and secured a solid win — finishing the tournament on a high and proving he’s one to watch in future events.

D’Artagnan (17 Years Old)

D’Artagnan stepped into the ring and showcased his technical boxing beautifully. Despite his skill and composure, his opponent pushed hard for the win and edged out the decision. Another great learning experience that will fuel his growth moving forward.

Cam – Masters Division

In the Masters Division, Cam put on a dominant performance and secured a TKO victory to earn himself the title of Golden Gloves Champion. A huge achievement and a proud moment for both Cam and Pretty Top Team — proof that dedication and hard work pay off.

MarlinUnfortunately, on the final day of the tournament, Marlin had to withdraw due to a nasty bout of Influenza A. After making the journey to Brisbane and preparing for this event, it was a disappointing outcome, but health must always come first. We know Marlin will be back stronger for the next opportunity.

🙌 Thank You, Coach Brayden

A huge shout out to Coach Brayden for travelling with the boys, cornering all week, and guiding them through this tough competition. An extra congratulations for coaching your first Golden Gloves Champion — an exciting milestone in your coaching career!

🏆 What’s Next?

The team is back home in Cairns prepping for Built2Box on 2nd August. All 3 boxers are matched on our show. Win or lose, each of these athletes continues to level up — and we’re just getting started.
